A gallery of lizards, members of the Order Squamata of which there are about 3,000 species found worldwide, inhabiting warm dry regions and the tropics. Eight lizard species are native to North America while 115 species may be encountered north of Mexico. Those species found here were photographed in the United States, Costa Rica, Ecuador and Panama.
